A line that never stops moving cannot repeat —
it can only return, shifted.
I am an Iranian-born artist working at the intersection of
classical textile logic and generative systems. My work
begins with a simple observation: the woven surface —
repetitive, mathematically structured, infinitely variable —
has always been a form of computation, long before computers.
Spectrum Dance is a chain of oscillating
links. Each link is a control point that moves along its
own sine wave — its own speed, its own amplitude, its own
phase. The chain traces a single smooth curve, and the
curve's colour drifts through the spectrum as the frame
advances.
Where most generative systems produce a still composition,
Spectrum Dance is fundamentally a performance — a
dance between control points that never repeats. Each
composition captures the dance at a distinct moment,
rendered as a live animation that continues to shift. Each
piece is defined by a numeric seed and can be regenerated,
documented, and adapted for textile, print, and surface
applications.
On AI tools — where I encountered technical
obstacles, I turned to AI tools for debugging and code
optimization. Every structural, aesthetic, and conceptual
decision remained my own.
