Variation
A numeric seed initializes the grid dimensions (350–400 columns), the wave speed, the time-step, the number of oscillating sources, and the background tone. Each output is regenerated and documented as a distinct, traceable work.
A pool, struck once — ripples spreading, interfering, settling into a field of interference and light.
For fashion houses, textile studios and surface designers. Each composition is generated from a numeric seed and can be licensed, adapted or commissioned to your brief.
A still pool remembers every drop that fell into it.
I am an Iranian-born artist working at the intersection of classical textile logic and generative systems. My work begins with a simple observation: the woven surface — repetitive, mathematically structured, infinitely variable — has always been a form of computation, long before computers.
Pool Wind Sun simulates a wave equation — the classical model of ripples on a still surface. One or several oscillating sources strike a rectangular pool; the resulting waves reflect off the boundaries and interfere with one another, producing a complex field of constructive and destructive nodes.
Where the classical pool is a single still moment, this system freezes it — running the simulation forward for thirty to seventy time-steps, then capturing the field. A gradient palette sweeps the grid diagonally, from a deep blue at the upper-left to a bright cyan at the lower-right, so the wave field reads as both fluid and luminous. Each piece is defined by a numeric seed and can be regenerated, documented, and adapted for textile, print, and surface applications.
The same seed, presented as an archival print — and applied across fabric, scarf, textile and wall surfaces without loss of structure.
Every surface below is drawn from the same numeric seed — its repeat, orientation and scale adapted to the material, while the underlying structural logic remains identical.

A 2D wave equation is stepped forward 30–70 times. Sources inject oscillating values into the grid; the waves spread and reflect off the boundary, interfering with one another into a field of nodes and antinodes.
The resulting composition becomes a surface-design asset — explored across garments, textile prints, wallpaper and other pattern-driven applications.
Pool Wind Sun is a generative design system rather than a single artwork. Its wave-interference language can be adapted for fashion, textile development and other surface-oriented contexts — while maintaining a computational origin.
Each surface is drawn from the same numeric seed — reproducible, licensable, adaptable to your brief.
