A price, when it is traced rather than read, becomes a wave — measured, rhythmic, quietly yours.

I am an Iranian-born artist working at the intersection of classical ornament and generative systems. My work begins with a simple observation: the financial chart — candlesticks, axes, gridlines — has always carried an unexpected beauty. It is a form of drawn computation that we look at every day without seeing it as such.

Elliott Waves is a seed-based generative system that translates that visual language into code. Each composition is built from a random walk of 360 daily prices, drawn as a continuous wave line, with weekly candlesticks overlaid on top. A monthly axis runs across the bottom, and a y-axis of tick labels runs down the left.

The wave path, the candle bodies, the axes, and the tick labels are all derived from a single numeric seed. Each piece can be regenerated, documented, and adapted for textile, print, and surface applications — from scarves and yardage to wallpaper and archival print.

On AI tools — where I encountered technical obstacles, I turned to AI tools for debugging and code optimization. Every structural, aesthetic, and conceptual decision remained my own.

01 / Seed

Variation

A numeric seed initializes the daily price walk, the weekly candle bodies, and the tick spacing. Each composition is regenerated and documented as a distinct, traceable output.

02 / Wave

Geometry

A 360-day random walk in alternating directions, drawn as a continuous wave line. Weekly candlesticks are drawn between every seventh point, and axes with tick labels complete the composition.

03 / Surface

Application

The resulting composition becomes a surface-design asset — explored across garments, textile prints, wallpaper and other pattern-driven applications.
